Tucker loves Dad’s original baby blanket. Also, this was the last nap in the bassinet as you can see he’s outgrown it, like woah.
These pictures are from a few weeks ago. Tucker is now sleeping in his crib (for the first half of the night any way).
Pictures and videos. Enough to salve your yearning for all things Watson.

This past Sunday, Ben and I found ourselves overbooked. Ben originally thought the animation geek-fest he wanted to attend started at 5pm, but it actually started at 2. This directly conflicted with my noonish practice time since driving 10 miles in LA takes at least an hour.
I could’ve stayed home and taken what some would consider a much needed nap, but no. I am determined to: get my game back, lose the baby weight and (even more importantly) get the little dude accustomed to people and new places.
So, I marched in to practice and announced that my son would happily hang with anyone willing to babysit so Momma can scrimmage. There were many takers. A lot of new girls hang out after practice to watch/learn the game and (score!) many of them are Moms. He spent some time with the new girls but was fussy. The true saver of the day was Evie who had a sling in the car (from use with her amazing lil dude, Fin) and put off packing for Rollercon this weekend to calm Tuckasaurus Rex.
Tucker was out almost immediately.
He woke up eventually and when Evie wasn’t flying him down the line Super Baby style, he was watchin some derby. Though Tucker has been to the derby before I’m pretty sure this is the first time he actually watched.

Tucker and I went on a photo spree together.
Often out-of-focus and almost all done on the iPhone, enjoy.
who knew we had the same bangs?
We’re playing a little bit of catch up with photos from before the move. Sure wish we had an excuse for all the photos we didn’t post before the move, but let’s blame that on new parenting.
Good thing we moved, someone was getting a little big for the sink.
Tucker was playing in the activity center as I scarfed down breakfast when I saw it. It was an all too common moment – Me reflecting on how brilliant my son was that he learned to turn around in the activity center all on his own. Surely, like Einstein or Stephen Hawking must have (okay, maybe not Hawking) when the large wet spot emerging from the back of pants came in to view.
Shit! Literally. Crawling up his back much higher than I’m used to. The cotton diapers/cover combo does a pretty good job of catching most blow-outs. Damage being done, I enjoyed the rest of my tea. The job ahead of me would require all cylinders operating at nothing short of maximum efficiency.

Today, Tucker went to the Dr for his second round of vaccines. We’re proud to report that at 4 1/2 months he’s 26.5 inches long and weighing in at a healthy 18.2lbs. Every ounce of it thanks to Moms milk. He’s never had anything else which was apparent during the oral vaccine.
Tucker fought it because it’s thick and sweet (like Karo syrup) and completely unlike the milk to which he’s accostomed. He spit up some and the nurse pinched his cheeks and gave him another squirt. Tucker became pretty angry so I picked him up to soothe him a bit. He fussed, I held, and the nurse said “ohhh I’m sorry sweetie”. Tuckers head did a 180, he looked the nurse in the eye, lurched forward toward her face and blared an angry stecatto “bwa waah AHH”.
Of course I’ve heard my son make that sound before but I’ve always assumed it was a general proclamation of discontent aimed no more at me than the doorknob. But what I witnessed today was a direct and deliberate communication, a warning. “Listen lady, do not come near me again with that stuff.”
He kept a wary eye on her the rest of the visit. Suffice to say, that nurse is outside the Circle of Trust (see below). I left the visit feeling a little redeemed. This guy may look like Ben but he’s clearly got some of Mom in there too.
