Easter festivities commenced last weekend.
Ben and I had Good Friday off work so we dyed eggs with Tucker. He really enjoyed splashing the eggs into the colored water, but that only lasted for a few minutes until he became obsessed with eating the eggs. (We thank a growth spurt for his non-stop eating and frequent night wakings!)
We were lucky enough to catch a quick picture of the “Tucker” egg before it was gobbled up. Lil man has a very strong sense of possession and understood quite quickly that Tuckers egg was for Tuckers immediate consumption.
The finished product minus a few broken and/or eaten.
Easter morning started with a quick (plastic) egg hunt around the living room. Most of the eggs were filled with toys and yogurt covered blueberries. The blueberries were a huge hit. While Mom changed Tucker, Dad wheeled out Tucker’s birthday Easter present, which included a Flintstonesesque firetruck from grandma. All contents within the firetruck were immediately discarded: bunny, Easter pail and toys. Time to drive!
Well, the yogurt covered blueberries did make it. Asking Tucker to choose between a snack or the firetruck proved too much so we had to allow driving under the berry influence.
Days, even weeks, later the firetruck still proves to be a favorite toy. Perfect as an escape vehicle (below stealing Moms rosemary from the lamb roast) or just a casual drive around the house.
