Things have been non stop since our return from Chicago. One week later the Watsons were here for Thanksgiving and now a week after the holiday we’re packing for Mexico.

Here’s a couple quick snap shots of Tuckers past two weeks.  And also a picture of new favorite toy.

Chopstick!!!!

Holidays are busy

This past weekend was so beautiful in LA.  Sunny, clear and crisp.

We took this video documenting what might be the first time Tucker actually thought twice before putting something in his mouth.

Sunny Saturday

Before you look at these adorable pictures of Tucker hamming it up at a major chain store, please understand that my work place asks us to do these things.  It’s being part of the team.

Plus, the free lunch didn’t hurt.

Tucker wasted absolutely no time getting the french fries in to his mouth.

Neither did Dad.

Everyone smile and say trans fatty acids!

As you can see Tucker really enjoyed his foray into fast food and he didn’t even have a happy meal.   No wonder childhood obesity is such a problem, even without a playground the place was very attractive as it was full of bright colors, toys and fried foods.

We spent last weekend in Chicago visiting friends and I can’t help but quote their four year old Broady who had this to say to Cheryl after being denied a McDonalds visit – “Mom, I just can’t get this happy meal business out of my head.”

Sell Out

Tucker Watson – boy on the run.

Or on the crawl as the case may be.  Regardless, this guy is not standing still.  ever.

Like most on the run, Tucker is eventually caught and penned up.

On the run

Tucker went to school for the first time yesterday.  It was really difficult… for Ben and I.  From what I heard Tucker cried a bit in the morning and then had fun as long as a teacher was with him.  (This guy is all about the attention).

The first three pictures are from our initial visit two weeks ago.  You can see Tucker and Luke playing together too, although “playing” at this age is just being in the general vicinity of each other.

This picture was taken right before we left for school on his first day.  Ben makes that exact same face when he’s anxious.

First day of school

Sunday morning we went to breakfast and were surprised to see my friend/co-worker Holly along with her husband and boy Luke. Luke goes to the school Tucker will start at in a few weeks. You can see they’re already thinking of all the trouble they’re going to cause.

Buddys

Tucker is a very very active baby.  About the only time he sits still is when he’s nomming on something.  His first food was a cucumber.  Not the one pictured below, we’ll upload that video soon.  But here you can see his noms go from the edible to the not so edible.

Once Tucker discovered the sand at Beach Yoga he was obsessed with it.  I did not have much time to work on my half moon pose since he was intent on mastering his face plant pose.

Noms

Ben and I were sitting around the other day wondering how we could be any more liberal.  We live in California, use cloth diapers and recycle everything.  Then it hit us…

yep, that’s a 2010 Prius.  We got an unbelievable deal on the lease.  Now we just have to get used to driving it, kinda feels like a space ship.

Big News!

The little dude turned 6 months old last weekend.  We celebrated by going to Williams Sonoma for a cooking class “Lessons in Dairy”.  I can’t wait to make my own butter!  It was a pretty crowded class but I used my derby blocking skills to get a taste of the homemade ricotta cheese with roasted stone fruit and honey whip cream.  Oh and they raved about the best honey ever  – Savannah Bee Company.

He looks more and more like a little boy every day.  I can’t stand it!   He almost looks scared of the dark here, it was early in the morning and I hadn’t turned the light on yet.

That’s better.

Friday included a trip to the chiropractor and then Moms group.  Tucker was really interested in the other babies and rolled his way around the room to all of their toys.

Yet another shopping trip.  Good thing he likes them because we shop a lot.   Before we made it home he tore off two buds from those pretty lilies.  His grasp is no joke!

6 months

Tucker had his very first ride in a shopping cart last weekend at Trader Joe’s. I wasn’t planning on ashopping cart ride yet (we have one of those super plush inserts thanks to Grandma Bonnie) but when I parked the cart was next to my car. I eyed it then tried him out and couldn’t believe he fit

He loved it! Lots of people stopped to talk to him and outright didn’t believe he was six months old. Also there were so many brightly colored objects to reach for, had it not been for the strap he surely would’ve fallen out. Future foodie for sure.
